What is left of one of several footbridges, located along the canal near the Delaware river, after the major flood from a few weeks back.

Now this tells a story. I am immediately intrigued to know about how this came to be where it is, and where it leads.

Ah.. this little bridge.. this little footbridge spans from the road across a part the Delaware Canal located near Easton PA. When the river flooded last year, it literally wiped out most of the canal walls along that area, except where this bridge was. The section was a little damaged, but survived. Now whenever I see it, I think of holding on, holding true and moving forward. But that's just me. :)

Lovely sepia image.

Comments:

- it would be completely finicky, but have you considered cloning out the plastic tape? Or going back and ripping it off the footbridge before you take the photo again?
- consider cropping more from the top, as the bricks end just before the top of the photo, which leaves a little line for the eyes to run along...

Again, thanks for the comments. The only problem is this little footbridge was, at the time, the victim of flood waters and recently as been through the same thing again and I don't know if it is even still standin due to the amount of damage incurred in he area. So a reshoot may not be possible. One of the reasons I left the tape was that it was one of the first days we had been allowed to cross it after the last flood (my husband and I) and we wanted to capture it like that.

I don't know how I missed this one first-time around... this is quite a photo. I love the colouring on this one. Perhaps if the dirt was a little darker... but the bridge itself is perfect. One of my uber-rare favourites is deserved ;)

Thanks. I have my husband to thank for spotting this little gem. This little bridge survived a major flood this past year and we were suprised to see it still standing were it was when we got this sot. Thanks for the :+fav: on it too:)
